MY STORY SO FAR.
I started Elevator Group about 15 years ago to launch new products. It was what I knew and liked best. Since then I've worked with some of the smartest and most thoughtful clients I can imagine. We have generated impressive results together.
Elevator turned strategy and creative into results, enabled by digital media. It was a great run. This fall, ready for a change, I quietly stepped away, put my Collie McIntosh in the Defender and drove west via Flathead Lake, MT to join my significant other Cindy in Indianola, WA. You may know the location as Bainbridge Island. What a place. I made it one month until I had the urge to start a new venture. Mark1, LLC was born and I'm back in action.

I rose to senior management at medium and big size Boston agencies IQ&J/BBDO, Houston/Effler and Hill Holliday. I ran Converse Worldwide for 10 years, NEC Computers, The State of Massachusetts, Fidelity Investments, Autonation and a lot of clients in between.
I jumped to the client side as VP Multi-branding of Dunkin (then Allied Domecq) where I integrated Togo's, Baskin and Dunkin. I went on to Tweeter as CMO, then the country's largest specialty electronics chain, then became Sr. V.P., Sales and Marketing, BJ's Wholesale Club.
I founded and operated Elevator Group and then Elevator North. Gained fame with Mike and Ike Candy, Brown Shoe, Bosu Fitness, COBA Glute Trainer, Honeywell's Muck and XTRAtuf brands, Green Companies, Ryka, Fresh City Kitchen, Bollé, Toughtested, Pay-by-Car and many start-ups.
I've opened Markr1 and MAKE Seattle. Sailing, fishing, hiking, making when not at my desk. So far, so great.
